Professional Speaking Skills

Develop the confidence, structure, voice, and delivery techniques needed to speak clearly and professionally in meetings, briefings, interviews, presentations, and everyday workplace conversations.

Professional Speaking Skills is a practical corporate course for employees who need to communicate ideas verbally with clarity, confidence, and credibility. The course develops the full speaking process: preparing a message, organizing ideas, choosing language, managing nerves, using voice and body language, contributing to meetings, explaining technical information, handling questions, speaking to customers, and influencing decisions ethically. The course does not treat confident speaking as a fixed personality trait. It treats it as a set of observable behaviours that can be learned, practised, measured, and improved. Learners use short rehearsals, recorded practice, role-play, peer feedback, impromptu speaking, and workplace simulations. Activities can be adapted for office, remote, technical, service, nonprofit, and international environments. At completion, learners will be able to prepare concise spoken messages, deliver structured updates, participate constructively in meetings, explain information for non-specialists, respond to questions, manage difficult conversations, and create a personal speaking-development plan. The manuscript includes facilitator guidance, rubrics, practice assignments, and a final assessment framework.
